My Mission

Each one, teach one. I want to educate my clients on what they can do for themselves for self care between massages. Massage isn’t just to “fix” something, but it’s maintenance. To maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle, whatever that may be for you.

How can I be of service” is one of my many mantras I say to myself on a regular basis. If I’m not able, I may know someone who can. Pay it Forward!

My Philosophy

Everything is an investment in maintaining a homeostatic (balanced) state with your health. Be it mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually or financially. It’s never too late to invest in your health and state of being. Mix it up. Get a massage 🙂

About Me

I LOVE what I do! After graduating Cum Laude with an Associate Degree in Massage Therapy from the prestigious Swedish Institute of Health Sciences in New York City, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Virginia State University, 10+ years as a Certified National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM-CPT, CES) and 20+ years as an award winning Broadway Musical Theatre performer (including inter/national, regional tours AND summer stock!). I put it all together with my uncanny sense of intuition to formulate an integrated customized therapeutic session for you.

My skills have been put to use in the chiropractic environment and with the New York Giants training camp. I am also an adjunct professor at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus, where I co-created and conduct fitness and boxing classes for The Fitness For Parkinson’s in conjunction with the Brooklyn Parkinson’s Group.

What’s In My Toolbox?

Swedish | Deep Tissue | Medical | Myofascial Release | Reiki III | Neuromuscular techniques | Range Of Motion (ROM) | Corrective Exercises.

Sanity Helpers

Pass time activities? Swing dancing, self-care regiments, hula-hooping and jumping rope.
Good Book? Quite a few to choose from but among them is Deepak Chopra’s, “Seven Spiritual Laws of Success”
Food? Whatever keeps you healthy and happy. But I love a “cheat day” also.

What Sets Me Apart?

FIRST and foremost, I care. If you need a specific modality within my tool box, then that’s what I use. If it’s in my skilled scope of practice and feel it will benefit you, I will incorporate it.
SECONDLY, I listen. I want to give you what you came for.
THIRDLY, I assess, going over the main concerns in order to customize your session. No rub-a-dub-dub here!

If needed, I dig into my NASM-CPT, CES tool box to give you homework! Stretches and exercise suggestions you can incorporate in your your workouts at home or the gym, on the job, the park, even the subway commute, (yes, the subway!).
